Using the MFP control panel and menus
PostScript Menu
Use the PostScript Menu to change print settings that only affect jobs using the PostScript emulation.
Note: Values marked by an asterisk (*) are the factory default setting.

Use the PDF Menu to change print settings that only affect jobs using Portable Document Format
(PDF) files.
Note: Values marked by an asterisk (*) are the factory default settings.

Menu item Purpose Values and descriptions
Print PS Error To print a page defining the
PostScript emulation error
when an error occurs.
Off* Discards the print job
without printing an error
message.
On Prints an error message
before it discards the job.

Menu item Purpose Values and descriptions
Scale To Fit To specify whether the
document should be scaled to
fit on the available print media.
No* The document is not
scaled to fit on the
available print media. Text
or graphics outside the
printable area is clipped.
Yes The document is scaled to
fit on the available print
media.
Orientation To specify the default
orientation of the PDF.
Portrait* Prints text and graphics
parallel to the short edge of
the paper for the PDF.
Landscape Prints text and graphics
parallel to the long edge of
the paper for the PDF.
Halftone To specify whether to use the
MFP default halftone screen or
the document screen.
Printer* Use the MFP default
halftone screen.
Document Use the document halftone
screen.
