7.8.1 General inspection
• Pay attention to any unusual running noises from all axle lines.
• Check that the axle centre drives, hydraulic drives, final drives and the
connections are free of leaks. In the event of leaking consumables;
à Axle centre drives – checking the oil level, p. 7 - 58,
à Checking the hydraulic drives, p. 7 - 60,
à Final drives – Checking the oil level, p. 7 - 63.
• Check that pipes and hoses are tightly connected and undamaged.
If any damage is found, report it to Manitowoc Crane Care or an authorised
GROVE dealer or an authorised specialist workshop.
7.8.2 Axle centre drives – checking the oil level

Prerequisites – The truck crane must be raised on outriggers or parked over an inspec-
tion pit.
– The engine must not be running and must be secured against unauthor-
