Opening/closing in an emergency
You can open or close the tilt/sliding sun-
roof manually should an electrical mal-
function occur.
The tilt/sliding sunroof roof drive is locat-
ed behind the cover on the overhead
control panel.
1 Cover
왘 Remove the SmartKey from the start-
er switch.
Vehicles with SmartKey with
KEYLESS-GO**:
왘 Turn off the engine by pressing the
KEYLESS-GO** button on the gear se-
lector lever once (
컄 page 78).
왘 Open the driver’s door (this puts the
starter switch in position 0, same as
with the SmartKey removed from the
starter switch). The driver’s door then
can be closed again.
왘 Pull cover 1 off at the location
marked by the arrow.
2 Crank
왘 Remove crank 2 from the Operator’s
Manual pouch.
왘 Insert crank 2 through hole.
왘 Turn crank 2 clockwise to:
앫 slide roof closed
앫 raise roof at the rear
왘 Turn crank 2 counterclockwise to:
앫 slide roof open
앫 lower roof at the rear
i Turn crank 2 slowly and smoothly.
The tilt/sliding sunroof must be synchronized
after being operated manually (컄 page 213).
