14.4 Why is my handset not working?
Check to ensure that the handset cord is fully connected to both the phone and handset.
14.5 How do I find the IP address of my phone?
Instructions on where to find the IP address of your phone can be found in “Finding Your Phone’s IP
Address”.
14.6 Why does my phone display the No Service message?
The phone displays the No Service message if the SIP settings have not been set up correctly. Contact
your System Administrator for more information.
14.7 How do I change my user password?
You can change the user password from the IP phone UI or the Mitel Web UI. See “Password” and
“Configuring Lock Settings Using the Mitel Web UI” for more information.
14.8 Why does my phone display Bad Encrypted Config?
The IP phone displays Bad Encrypted Config because encrypted configuration files are enabled but the
decryption process has failed. Report this error to your System Administrator.
14.9 How do I restart the IP phone?
You can restart the phone from the IP phone UI or through the Mitel Web UI. See “Restarting Your Phone
Using the IP Phone UI” and “Restarting Your Phone Using the Mitel Web UI” for more information.
14.10 How do I lock my phone?
You can lock your phone to prevent the phone from being used or configured. You can lock the phone
using any of the following:
At the path Options > Phone Lockon the IP phone UI. See “Phone Lock”for more information.
At the path Operations > Phone Lock on the Mitel Web UI. See “Configuring Lock Settings Using the
Mitel Web UI” for more information.
