Ensure that the handset is
properly inserted in the
jack Try the other jack
Check that the console
cable is plugged firmly
into the console
and interconnect card.
Check that the console
cable is plugged into the
correct position on
interconnect card.
At the console check that
this feature button is
programmed.
Change the handset/headset
Change the handset to the
other jack
Unplug console control
card and plug it
back in. If the
console returns to normal, it
has been affected by static
discharge. Ensure the
systen
has a console interface card

Check console for Night

Ensure Printer buffer is
not full; i.e., SMDR in
effect and the printer

Control Test

Check that the console
handset is plugged into the
console and the console
power fail transfer switch
is set to normal.
Check intershelf
connectors and tables.
Ensure that it is located
correctly.
