STARTER ELECTRICAL SYSTEM
2. Attraction test. Connect a battery to the magnetic
switch terminal S and M. The pinion must protrude.
3. Holding test. With a battery connected to the
magnetic switch terminal “S” and to the starter
body, manually pull out the pinion fully. The pinion
must remain at that position when released from
holding by hand.
4. Return test. With a battery connected to the
magnetic switch terminal “M” and to the starter
body, manually pull out the pinion fully. The pinion
must return to its original position when released
from holding by hand.
