6.3 Multicomb
Multicomb effects
The Multicomb effect offers up to six independent Delay Lines, based on comblters that use
Lowpass lters in the feedback loop. Multicomb specializes in modulation effects; with parallel
series comblters and an appropriate modulation source, you can easily achieve anging and other
effects based on phase shifts. For subtle to moderate phase modulations, choose medium values.
High feedback rates meanwhile, produce tuneable resonance effects that sound like chords.
6.3.1 Parameters
Master Section
Beatswitch: With the Beat switch you select whether the value in Time control should be
indicated in seconds (Sec) or in beats (Beat), ie in quarter notes.
MasterTimecontrol: Determines the maximum delay of the feedback signal, i.e. the
comblter’s frequency. A high value results in a long delay and thus a long vibration, i.e.
a deep frequency.
MasterFeedbackcontrol: Denes the maximum level of the feedback signal, as a percent-
age value related to the original signal’s level. At high levels, the comblter has a high
resonance, and the sounds overtones produce a saw-tooth curve.
MasterLowpasscontrol: Determines the cut-off frequency of the Lowpass lter, which is
run through via the feedback signal (in Hz).
