NEC Communications Assistant
The NEC Communications Assistant file provides information on possible solutions to
communications problems. The file includes an indexed list of troubleshooting tips and
techniques on telecommunications topics such as:
n modem “HotSwapping”
n LAN reconnection
n Token-Ring configuration management.
Diagnostic Output and Beep Codes
One beep indicates that the system has completed its power-on self-test. If intermittent
beeping occurs, power off the system and try again. If the beeping persists, see Table Sec-
tion 4-3 for diagnostic outputs and beep codes.
