2. Connect the modem's adapter to the PCMCIA modem.

3. Connect one end of a modular telephone cable to the adapter's telephone jack.
4. Connect the other end of the telephone cable to the single jack on the dual-RJ11
connector.
5. Unplug the telephone cable from the wall outlet. Connect the cable to one of the
two available jacks of the dual-RJ11 connector and to the telephone.
