3. In the Retries field, enter an integer which specifies the maximum number of times an ARP 
request will be retried. The range for this field is 0 to 10. The default value is 4.
4. In the Cache Size field, ent
er an integer which specifies the maximum number of entries for 
the ARP cache. The range is 79 to 1024. The default value is 1024.
5. In the Dynamic R
enew field, select whether the ARP component automatically attempts to 
renew ARP entries of type Dynamic when they age out. The default setting is Enable.
6. Click Canc
el to cancel the configuration on the screen and reset the data on the screen to 
the latest value of the switch.
7. If you ch
ange any of the settings on the page, click Apply to send the updated configuration 
to the switch. Configuration changes take effect immediately
ARP Create
Use this page to add a static entry to the ARP table.
To display the page, click Ro
uting  ARP, then click the Advanced  ARP Create link.
To configure a static ARP entry:
1. In
 the IP Address field, enter the IP address that you want to add. It must be the IP 
address of a device on a subnet attached to one of the switch's existing routing 
interfaces.
2. In the MAC Address fie
ld, enter the unicast MAC address of the device. The format is six 
two-digit hexadecimal numbers separated by colons, for example 00:06:29:32:81:40.
3. Click Add to
 add an ARP Entry.
4. If you ma
de any changes to existing entries, click Apply to update the settings.
5. T
o delete an entry, select the box associated with the entry and click Delete.
6. Click Canc
el to cancel the configuration on the screen and reset the data on the screen to 
the latest value of the switch.
