SNMP CREATE COMTOSEC
Use the snmp create comtosec command to map a security name to an SNMPv1/v2c style community string.
Mapping can be from a particular range of source addresses or globally (“default”). The same community secret
can be specified in several separate directives (with different source tokens), and the first source/community
combination that matches the incoming request will be selected. Various source/community combinations can also
map to the same security name.

Examples

securityName Specifies the security name to create. The following restrictions apply to the security
name:
• maximum of 32 alpha-numeric characters (case sensitive)
• no spaces, punctuation or other special characters
•first character must be a letter
communitySecret Specifies a community secret that acts like a password and permits access to the
SNMP protocol. Note this communitySecret has no reference to the community
secret defined with the snmp community command. The following restrictions
apply to the community secret:
• maximum of 32 alpha-numeric characters (case sensitive)
• no spaces, punctuation or other special characters
•first character must be a letter

(Optional) A restricted source can either be a specific hostname (or address), or a
subnet, represented as IP/mask (such as, 10.10.10.0/255.255.255.0), or IP/bits
(such as, 10.10.10.0/24), or the IPv6 equivalents.
You may optionally specify to which requests (IPv6 or IPv4) this command applies.
Default is IPv4.
