SET PORT MDI
Use the set port mdi command to specify the crossover mode of the port, either MDI (normal) or MDI-X
(crossover). To connect two ports of the same configuration (MDI to MDI or MDI-X to MDI-X), an Ethernet
crossover cable is needed to cross over the transmit and receive signals in the cable, so that they are matched at the
connector level. Otherwise, you can select Auto and let the ports themselves detect the required cable connection
type and configure the connection appropriately. For auto-MDI/MDI-X to operate correctly, the data rate on the
interface and duplex setting must be set to Auto.
Command form set port port-id mdi {
auto | mdi | mdi-x}
