This identifier refers to the Ether
type field.
Priority Code Point This indicates the frame priority level. (Voice,
video, data).
Canonical Format Indicator This bit is always set to zero.
VLAN Identifier Used to specify to which VLAN the frame belongs.
9.5.2 Ether Type Field
The EtherType is a two-octet field in an Ethernet frame. It indicates which protocol
is encapsulated in the payload.
The following table shows an overview of the EtherType value for some common
protocols.

This ether type field must be defined in the device. This is done by entering the
correct value in the VLAN type id. Refer to section 9.5.4.
