This bar code supports the following characters:
• Any single-byte ASCII code from 00

Number of characters: Max. 62
EAN/UPC/JAN
EAN/UPC/JAN contains a check digit. The check digit is calculated and appended
automatically next to the last character of the code data.
This bar code supports all numeric digits (0–9).
Number of digits:
• EAN/JAN-13: 12 digits plus check digit
• EAN/JAN-8: 7 digits plus check digit
• UPC-A: 11 digits plus check digit
• UPC-E: 6 digits plus check digit
CODE128 (GS1-128)
CODE128 contains the start code A, B or C. It is selected automatically depending on the
character composition of subsequent characters. The check digit is appended automatically
next to the last character of the code data. The human readable text does not comprise the
check digit.
To distinguish CODE128 from GS1-128 (known also as UCC/EAN-128), input the Function 1
Symbol Character (FNC1) at the beginning of the code data. GS1-128 consists of the basic
CODE128 format with Application Identifiers (AI) added to the code data.
If you insert FNC1 at the beginning of CODE128 followed by AI prefix code “01” and 13
numeric digits, the check digit is appended automatically next to the last character of the
code data. Modulo 10 /weight 3 is used to calculate the check digit.
