Hazard distance (IEC 62471-5:2015)
Thedistancefromtheprojectionlenssurface,atwhichtheemissionreachestheAccessibleEmissionLimit(AEL)
ofriskgroup2,isknownasthehazarddistance(HD)orsafetydistance.Theareawheretheemissionexceeds
theAccessibleEmissionLimitofriskgroup2iscalledthehazardzone(HZ).
Withinthehazardzone,neverlookintothelightprojectedfromtheprojector.Theeyesmaybedamagedbydirect
irradiationevenifyoulookatthelightjustforamoment.Ifyouareoutsidethehazardzone,itisconsideredtobe
safeinallcircumstancesexceptdeliberatelystaringintothelightprojectedfromtheprojector.
