Note
f If any button on the remote control or on the control panel is pressed within the preset time in [NO ACTIVITY TIME] , the [TIMEOUT] setting
does not function and the indicators do not lit or blink even the time set in [NO ACTIVITY TIME] has elapsed.
f In following cases, the indicators will temporarily lit or blink for operation check even if the indicator‑o󰀨 function is enabled.
g right after pressing the <ON> side of the <MAIN POWER> switch to turn on the power
[USER IMAGE]
Register your favorite image to the projector to use it as a back color (x page 142), a startup logo (x page 143)
or a test pattern (x page 190).
Image les available for registration
The image le that can be registered in the projector is a still image data fullling following conditions.
Extension Format Limitation
.jpg/.jpeg/.jpe JPEG
Number of pixels:
Minimum 192 x 120
Maximum 3 840 x 2 400 (For PT-REQ15)
1 920 x 1 200 (For PT-REZ15)
(The number of pixels in height and width must be the multiple of 8.)
File format: supports baseline only
YUV format: supports YUV444, YUV422 (horizontal downsampling) and YUV420
Color mode: RGB only

Maximum 3 840 x 2 400 (For PT-REQ15)
1 920 x 1 200 (For PT-REZ15)
1/8/24 bits

(However, α blending becomes invalid and the background image will not be transparent.)
Registering the user image
1) Save the image file to be registered to the projector on a USB memory.
2) Insert the USB memory into the <USB> terminal.
3) Press as to select [USER IMAGE], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The [USER IMAGE] screen is displayed.
4) Press as to select [NO IMAGE] or [USER IMAGE 1] / [USER IMAGE 2] / [USER IMAGE 3] / [USER
IMAGE 4], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The [USER IMAGE] screen is displayed.
5) Press as to select [SAVE USER IMAGE], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The [SAVE USER IMAGE] screen is displayed.
f Proceed to Step 7) if the le for image to register is saved in the root directory of the USB memory.
6) Press as to select the folder in which the file is saved, and press the <ENTER> button.
f Repeat the folder selection operation until the le for the image to register is displayed.
7) Press as to select the file, and press the <ENTER> button.
f The conrmation screen is displayed.
8) Press qw to select [OK], and press the <ENTER> button.
f The registration is completed.
Note
f For the USB memory that can be used with the projector and handling of the memory, refer to “Using the USB memory” (x page 84).
f When the projector is initialized by one of the following methods, the image registered in [USER IMAGE] will be deleted.
g When initialized by selecting the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu [INITIALIZE] [FACTORY RESET]
g When initialized by selecting the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu [INITIALIZE] [USER IMAGE ONLY]
g When initialized by setting the [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu [INITIALIZE] [USER SETTINGS] [USER IMAGE] to [INITIALIZE]
