FreeFlight 6 USA offline update via APK file (Android users)
If for any reason you choose not to download or update FreeFlight 6 USA via the Play store, you can
alternatively update the system via an APK file (.apk). This update method does not require an internet
connection to your Android device.
Follow this procedure to update FreeFlight 6 USA via an APK file:
1. Obtain the FreeFlight6Usa-release.apk file from Parrot or your genuine Parrot reseller.
2. Copy the FreeFlight6Usa-release.apk file to your Android device’s internal memory.
3. Open the file manager on your Android device.
4. Search for the FreeFlight6Usa-release.apk file that you saved in step 2.
5. Tap the FreeFlight6Usa-release.apk file, a popup appears which asks you to allow installation
of unknown apps. You must enable your Android device to install third-party applications.
6. Tap Install. A window opens to notify you that the FreeFlight 6 USA application is installed.
7. Tap Done.
When you open the FreeFlight 6 USA application, a popup appears asking for authorization for the
application to access your Android device. Select Always open FreeFlight 6 USA when Skycontroller
USA is connected, then tap OK.
FreeFlight 6 USA is now up to date.
Warning: Ensure that you obtain the APK file from Parrot, or your legitimate Parrot reseller. Your
Android device and personal data are more vulnerable to attacks from unknown apps. After you
update FreeFlight 6 USA, Parrot recommends that you revert your Android device to the original
setting which prevents you from installing unknown apps.
