Test System Belt,
Feeder
Allows you to test the motors and sensors.
To Test Motors:
Pressing Enter toggles between the BELT
(transport motor) and the FEEDER (motor).
The + and - keys increase or decrease the
speed of the motor that has focus. The mo-
tor speed is displayed in IPS. The motors
remain running until Menu is pressed or the
motor speed is decreased to 0 IPS.
If any of the three encoders (Belt, Feeder,
and Print) are not registering motion (turn-
ing), an error is displayed for the failed
encoder, indicated by its initial letter (e.g., “B
Encoder Error” if the Belt encoder failed).
To Test Sensors:
The LCD displays P E F (representing the
Paper sensor, Exit sensor, and Feeder sen-
sor) in either upper cased or lower case. A
lower case letter (e.g., p) indicates the sen-
sor is unblocked, while an upper case letter
(e.g., P) the sensor is blocked.
You can slip paper under the each sensor to
see if the sensor is working properly and de-
termine if the sensor is covered with paper,
paper dust, or is defective.
NOTE 1: Because the DA80F does not have
an exit sensor, exit sensor E is not displayed
on a DA80F.
NOTE 2: If the DA95F is configured with an
“external feeder”, the DA95F’s own feeder
sensor is not used and the feeder sensor
indicator is not displayed.
