Answer Calls Automatically
You can set up your phone to automatically answer calls using Auto Answer.
When enabled, the phone automatically answers all incoming calls using the speakerphone. Your system
administrator sets how many times the phone rings before it automatically answers the call.
The phone doesn’t automatically answer a call until you place your current call on hold or end it.
Procedure
1. Go to Settings > Basic > Preferences.
2. Select Auto Answer.
3. Select Auto Answer SIP Calls and select Yes.
4. If your phone supports H.323 protocol, select Auto Answer H.323 Calls and select Yes.
This option displays only if your phone supports the H.323 protocol.
5. Select Microphone Muted and choose Yes (the default setting) to mute the microphone for auto-
answered calls.
6. Select Video Mute and select Yes to mute the video when video calls are auto-answered.
7. Select Save.
Answer a Call on a Locked Phone
You can enable your phone to accept calls while it's locked. To answer calls on a locked phone, enter
your password.
Procedure
1. On the Incoming Call screen, select Answer.

The call connects.
Answer an Intercom Call
When you receive an intercom call, your phone answers the call automatically using the speakerphone as
long as you don't have an active call already.
Once the intercom call begins, you can switch to your handset or headset if you need to.
If the phone answers an intercom call with your microphone muted, you must unmute your microphone
before responding to the call.
Answer a Call from an Expansion Module
