When you initiate a conference call, you can manage conference participants, join calls into a conference,
or split your conference into individual calls.
Audio Conference Calls
Start a conference call with two contacts on hold. You can also split, hold, or resume conference calls.
VVX 101 and 201 phones manage a maximum of four active or held conference calls at a time. All other
VVX manage a maximum of 12 conference calls. The phone supports one active conference call at a time
with additional conference calls on hold.
If your system administrator enables the conference management feature on your phone, you can
manage each participant in the call. With the conference management feature, you can mute, hold, and
remove individual participants in a conference call.
Note: If your phone registers with Alcatel-Lucent CTS, you have different options for initiating and
managing conference calls.
Initiate a Conference Call
You can initiate a conference call with up to two contacts.
Note: When your phone is set up for single key press conferences, you do not need to select the
Conference soft key or press the Conference key a second time to join parties to a conference
call.
Procedure
1. Call a contact.
2. When the contact answers, select the Conference soft key.
The call is held.
3. Enter another contact's number or select a contact from the directory or the call lists.
4. When the contact answers, select the Conference soft key.
On VVX 1500 phones, press the Conference key
All call participants are added to a conference call.
