Complete the following steps to replace a load cell.
1. Power the Cubiscan 325 off.
2. Using two people, remove the glass platform and set
it aside.
3. Remove the two center cover thumb screws that are
located on the right side of the system. See
Figure 64.
4. Slide the center cover to the left so that you can
access the load cell summing box.
5. Use the 5/64'' Allen wrench to remove the eight
screws holding the load cell summing box lid in
place and remove the lid. Refer to Figure 65.
6. Locate the damaged load cell cable and disconnect
the load cell connection wires by loosening the
corresponding flathead screw with a small flathead
screwdriver. Refer to Figure 66. You only need to
disconnect the wires that correspond to the
damaged load cell cable.
7. Remove the nut holding the load cell cable in the
load cell summing box using the 7/16'' wrench. Refer
to Figure 67.
8. Remove the cable from the load cell summing box
and use the two 7/16'' wrenches to loosen the metal
attachments on the damaged load cell cable.
Remove the attachments indicated in Figure 68 and
Figure 69. You will need these attachments for the
new load cell cable.
9. Remove the load cell ball from the damaged load
cell and keep it in a safe location.
10. Locate the damaged load cell body and remove the
black, plastic cover near the load cell. See Figure 70.
This cover protects the bolts that hold the load cell
in place. Use the flathead screwdriver to pry the
cover up.
11. Unscrew the two bolts holding the load cell in place
using the 3/8'' socket with a quarter inch ratchet.
