within 5 s of the previous EOL
signal
 Check the connection between the FCU
and line.
 Check for line noise or other line problems.
 Replace the FCU.
 The remote machine may be defective or
may have been disconnected.

The signal from the other
party was interrupted for more
than the acceptable modem
carrier drop time (default: 200
ms)
 Check the connection.
 Replace the FCU.
 The remote machine may be defective.
 Check for line noise or other line problems.
 Try adjusting the acceptable modem
carrier drop time.
