Installation of additional filters
The filter wheel can be equipped with additional optical filters in the positions 1 to 8.
In the standard equipment the not used positions are optically locked by metal slices.
The respective metal slice is replaced with a filter at installation of an additional filter. In the memory of the
Photometer 5010 the value of the wavelength (e.g. 670) for the corresponding position (e.g. 7) becomes
changed by a service software routine.

Open the Photometer 5010. Separate the top case from the bottom case.
The filter wheel is turned by hand so that the corresponding hole is at the cut-out of the motor fastening plate
(see page 4.10.2).
With the Tool kit filter exchange ( RIELE ID-No. 5010-001 ) a filter exchange can be easily carried out. The
Tool kit filter exchange consists of the tools A and B.
With the tool A (left illustration) and a pipe wrench the metal slice can be pushed from the hole in the filter
wheel. The cheeks of the pipe wrench grasp at the tool and at the filter wheel. With a screwdriver the Seeger
ring and the metal slice can be taken.
Set the filter glass into the corresponding hole of the filter wheel. If the filter has only one reflecting surface,
this reflecting surface must be judged to the light source. The Seeger ring can loosely be inserted into the hole
in the filter wheel.
With the tool B (left illustration) and a pipe wrench the filter glass and the Seeger ring can be fixed.

1. Connect device with the mains and switch it on.
