What is a Pad Bank?
The 8 pads of the SPD-20X, together with 4 external pads (plus the 4 rims)—for a total of 16 pads—are
referred to as a pad bank. Each Patch contains two pad bank settings, A and B.
When you select a Patch, the PAD BANK indicator will show which pad bank the Patch uses. If the Layer
function (explained below) is used in that Patch, both PAD BANK indicators (A and B) will be lit.
