2) Checking the efficiency of the cooling system
General note The maximum coolant temperature must be determined in order to check
the efficiency of the cooling system.
Cylinder head
temperature
See Fig. 4.
There are two temperature sensors (1) on the cylinder 2 and 3 for measur-
ing the cylinder head temperature. During flight test the place with the
highest cylinder head temperature must be found, this can vary with differ-
ent engine installation (cowling or free installation, tractor or pusher, fight
speed etc.).
