The procedures to connect to an access point using a
wirelessLANcongurationprogramaredescribed.Since
thewirelessLANcongurationprogramisincludedinthe
SystemSoftwareMedia,theuserhastoinstalltheprogram.

Insert the System Software Media into the CD drive
andinstallthewirelessLANcongurationprogram
(ACU:AtherosClientUtility).
Select System Software Media > User Installation
> Wireless LAN Driver ReadMe,
clickReadMe and
install the program according to the instructions.

 Right-clickthewireless LAN conguration
program ( )ontheTaskbarandselectOpen
Atheros Client Utility.
Alternatively,clickStart > All Programs > Atheros
Client Utility > Atheros Client Utility.

In the Prole Managementtab,clickScan to search
foravailablewirelessnetworks.

Select the name of an access point (AP) to connect to
from the network name (SSID) and then click Activate.

 Enteraprolenametobeusedfortheconnection
and select the security settings oftheAPtobe
connected to in the Securitytab.
Thenetworkauthentication,encryptiontypeand
passwordofanaccesspointareconguredthroughthe
access point management program. For the security
information,
checkthesecuritysettingsofanaccess
point or ask your wireless network administrator.
