2 Remove the flywheel according to the
section Removing the flywheel.
3 Remove the flywheel housing according to
the section Removing the flywheel housing.
4 Manufacture a thread block according to the
sketch.

5 The shaft on which the gear is located has a
groove. Fit puller 587 526, impact setting
tool 99 074 and the thread block. Pull off
the gear and shaft.
IMPORTANT! After removing the
intermediate gear, neither the camshaft nor the
crankshaft must be rotated. This may cause
pistons and valves to collide and be damaged.
