Renewing the diaphragm
1 Remove the belt.
2 Remove the idler roller on the fan coupling
housing.

3 Remove the crankcase ventilation cover.

4 Remove the diaphragm and spring.
The spring has been removed from January
1999 onwards. On vehicles fitted with the
spring, the spring does not need to be
refitted.
5 Fit the new diaphragm.
6 Fit the cover.
7 Fit the idler roller.
8 Fit the belt.
