Renewing the bearing in the intermediate gear for the compressor
Special tools
1 Remove the retaining ring.
2 Press the bearing packet out of the gear.
3 Press the shaft journal out of the bearing.
4 Press the shaft journal into a new bearing
using tool 87 348. Do not press on the outer
race.
5 Press the ring on the shaft journal.
6 Press the bearing packet into the
intermediate gear. Use tool 87

7 Fit the retaining ring.
