Renewing the injector sleeves
The following applies to engines with an
injection pump.
Special tools
The cylinder head must be removed when
renewing the injector sleeve. The valves do not
need removing. The illustrations show the
cylinder head with valves removed to
demonstrate clearly the work described.
IMPORTANT! Mark the position of the groove
on the cylinder head sleeve according to the
illustration. The new sleeve must be in the same
position to allow the return and leak-off pipe to
be free.
