SensusRF gateway user manual
| 29/10/2019
FIGURE 11-16 - SNMP
To enable SNMP on the gateway, access the SNMP tab window and configure the following fields:
Agent Bind Interface
o The agent will be listening on that interface and only answer SNMP requests on that
interface.
o Traps will also be sent over this interface
Agent Port
o The port the agent will be listening in the gateway
SNMP Server and Trap Port
o The SNMP server destination hostname/IP and Port where the traps will be sent
Privacy Protocol and Privacy Pass
o SNMPv3 protocol algorithm and password used to encryption data
Authorization Protocol and Authorization Pass
o SNMPv3 protocol algorithm and password used to sign data
The Gateway SNMP Agent only supports the SNMPv3 Security Level authPriv and the gateway Security name
is snmpv3cas. Both parameters need to be configured in the SNMP server pooling the agent or receiving the
traps.
Different from other service configuration pages in the Gateway, the SNMP Test can only be performed using
saved configuration. If the parameters were changed and not saved at the moment of the test, a message
will be displayed asking to either first save the changes or reload the original configuration.
Once activated, the Gateway SNMP will support both the agent polling and will send all alarms it supports
using SNMP Traps.
