FIGURE 13-20 – EXAMPLE OF ERROR IMPORTING A CONFIGURATION FILE DUE TO MISMATCHING FIRMWARE VERSION
BETWEEN SOURCE AND TARGET GATEWAYS
CONSIDERATIONS:
1. The certificate configuration will not be part of the export/import process as a certificate
configuration mistake could lead to losing access to the gateway web page. If a certificate
configuration is required, that is the only configuration that should be performed again by the user.
2. The specific configuration imported trough the import configuration file will not be verified. The
exactly configuration parameters exported from the source gateway will be applied to the target
gateway. Make sure that GPRS, user accounts/passwords, VPN files, etc imported are the correct
ones to be used in the target gateway.
3. The specific configuration imported trough the import configuration file will not be recorded in the
audit logs. Only a new entry reporting that a configuration file was imported will be recorded,
meaning that the specific configuration changes will not be recorded.
13.5 Firewall
It is possible to control the Gateway services access by clicking on “Advanced”, Firewall. The Figure 13-21
illustrates the firewall web page.
FIGURE 13-21 - FIREWALL
The service access can be controlled on each interface, both Ethernet and PPP (GPRS – cellular modem).
When the respective interface switch for the service is ON, the service can be accessed over that interface.
If the switch is OFF, the service cannot be accessed over that interface.
NOTE
All services except the intelligent block are always allowed over the local USB connection
