NOTE
The gateway has only one antenna connected to its internal radio (Sirt radio) by default, but a second antenna
can be connected and assembled as an option.
12.3.1 External Sirt support
The gateway supports up to two standard Sirt devices from Sensus to be connected to the gateway. If external
Sirts are detected by the gateway at boot time, the Sirt Mode configuration page will display the external
Sirts and allow their configuration.
Similarly, to the internal Sirt of the gateway, the external Sirt configuration tells the gateway what protocols
and what antennas should be enabled (active) and for how long on each external Sirt.
The image below illustrates the gateway with two external Sirts, were the SensusRF and OMS protocols can
be configured on each device.
