10.3.1 Project planning procedure
The following flow diagram illustrates the project planning procedure for a MOVIMOT
®
advanced drive unit consisting of gear unit, motor and inverter. This is a highly simpli-
fied illustration that serves to clarify the process. For example, the following points are
left out:
• Reduction of the available nominal torque at low speeds
• Capacity utilization of the field weakening range operation
• Project planning of a mechanical braking
• Checking non-cyclical special loads
• Project planning of external braking resistors
• Consideration of the mass moment of inertia ratio
• Detailed calculation of permitted overhung loads
