Playing Dolby Digital (5.1 channel) and DTS audio
• Connecting an amplifier with a Dolby Digital/DTS digital surround processor or a Dolby Digital/DTS digital
surround decoder to the Unit’s coaxial digital jack provides richer, more powerful audio play.
• To use DTS digital surround, use the Disc Menu screen (page 45) or the Function control screen (page 89) to
select DTS audio.
• To play a disc recorded with DTS, you need to use DTS processor or amplifier.
• This connection is not possible if the processor or amplifier to which you want to connect does not have a coaxial
digital input jack.
• Refer to the operation manual for the processor or amplifier for information about connecting to it.
• No VCR sound will come out from the DIGITAL AUDIO output jack.
