9410 series Communications
NOTICE
LOSS OF ACCESS
Failure to follow these instructions can result in loss of access to the device.
Ensure you maintain sufficient access to communicate with and configure your
device.
1. Start ION Setup.
2. Open the Setup Assistant for your device.
3. Select Communications > Basic Ethernet, then click the IPv6 tab.
4. Select the Link Local address then click Edit.
NOTE: The IPv6 Link Local address itself is factory set and is read-only.
5. Select the IPv6 Enabled checkbox to enable IPv6 communications or clear it to
disable IPv6 communications.
6. Select your IP address assignment mode.
Selection Mode Description
Use DHCP to obtain an
IPv6 address
DHCP The meter acquires its IP addresses from your
network’s IPv6 DHCP server.
Use the following IP
address
Stored The meter uses the IP addresses that you
manually enter for IPv6 (global address and
gateway).
You can have different assignment modes for IPv4 and for IPv6.
7. Configure the settings for the selected mode then click OK.
The changes are saved to the meter. If ION Setup detects that the connection
information is already in use, you are prompted to confirm the change.
