6.1.4 Trouble message in SWE11: ’Nodes are not localizable check node types’
Localization data can not be allocated
Trouble Remedy
The logical element, to which the localization data
should be allocated, is not linked to a physical device
the logical element is identified with a ’*’ prefix
Link the logical element to a physical device and repeat
allocation of the localization data
Make sure device types are compatible
The logical element, to which the localization data
should be allocated, is linked to a physical device of
another function unit
Link the logical element to a physical device on the cor-
rect line and repeat allocation of localization data
The logical element, to which the localization data
should be allocated, has already been localized
The logical element has no prefix
Using the commissioning list, check to see if the correct
logical element is selected
– Correct element selected:
The wrong localization data has been allocated at
some previous point
Cancel incorrect element localization and repeat
allocation of localization data
– incorrect element selected:
Select the correct element and repeat allocation of
localization data
The device type in the physical structure does not match
that in the localization structure
Either alter the device type in the physical structure or
replace the device and re-localize
I-Bus address, line no. or type of function unit in the
physical structure and localization structure do not
match
Alter I-Bus address, line no. or relevant function unit
type in the physical structure
6.1.5 SWE11: Prefix ’?’ for a node in the localization structure
The device localization data is invalid
Trouble Remedy
Contact difficulties during ’address allocation by inser-
tion’
Repeat localization procedure for this location using ’ad-
dress allocation by activation’
Production fault (device is defective) Replace device
ID module in the base is missing (only required for inter-
active automatic detectors)
– Insert ID module in base
– Repeat localization procedure for this location
ID module in the base is defective
(only present on interactive automatic detectors)
– Replace ID module
– Repeat localization procedure for this location
ID module contacts are bent (only possible on interac-
tive automatic detectors without designation ...A)
– Straighten contacts or replace ID module
– Repeat localization procedure for this location
Communication fault on the detector bus
Unlikely if other devices have been correctly localized
on the same detector bus
– Check detector leads
– Repeat localization process for this location
