7 Appendix
7.1 Localization mode
Notes:
All lines with active localization mode are switched off.
No fire alarm in an emergency !
When initializing a localization mode in the SWE11 the position of the cursor in the
physical structure determines whether the localization mode is activated for all func-
tion units, or locally for a single function unit.
7.1.1 Device localization via SWE11
Message:
Global device location can only be activated via the SWE11.
The global localization mode is particularly useful for the initial commissioning
The local localization mode is particularly useful for extensions to systems (additional
devices on an existing line or additional lines)
Lines which are not in localization mode operate in normal mode
Line-by-line device localization can also be activated via terminal
Activate device localization:
Connect the maintenance PC via the Z3W050/51 + B3D040 or B3D021 to the control
unit and start the SWE11.
For global localization mode: In the physical structure select any node, but no function
unit.
For local localization mode: In the physical structure select the function unit to be set
in the localization mode.
The following localization methods may then be activated using SWE11 functions:
Address allocation by activation
Function Comm. Loc. by activation
Address allocation by insertion
Function Comm. Loc. by insertion
After the address allocation has been activated, the control unit reads in the data of
all devices to be localized. This process takes up to approx. 2 minutes for
AnalogPLUS lines and up to approx. 10 minutes for interactive lines.
Wait until the corresponding interactive or AnalogPLUS function units have been
switched over to localization. Under no circumstances can the address allocation be
started before this process has finished and the control unit is ready. Otherwise, local-
ization must be repeated!
”Ready” signal at the terminal
1. The message ’Isolation’ lights as soon as at least one function unit is ready for local-
ization
2. Press Isolation key
3. All function units indicated are ready for localization
begin localization
