7.6 Requirements for allocation
Every logical element to be localized must already be linked to a physical structure de-
vice ( page98)
 The SWE11 prevents the allocation of localization data to elements which are not
linked to a physical device (trouble message: ’Nodes are not localizable  check
node types’)
Measure: link logical element to a physical structure device (make sure device types
are compatible!)
The device type of the physical device linked with the element must agree with that in
the localization structure
 If the device types do not match, the SWE11 prevents the allocation of the localiza-
tion data (trouble message: ’Nodes are not localizable  check node types’)
Action to be taken: either alter the type of device in the physical structure or replace
the device and re-localize
The type and I-Bus address of the function units in the physical and localization struc-
tures to which the localized devices are allocated, must be identical
 If the function unit types/I-Bus addresses do not match, the SWE11 prevents alloca-
tion of the localization data (trouble message: ’Nodes are not localizable  check
node types’)
Action to be taken: use a physical device to which the correct functional units are allo-
cated and link it to the element to be localized
 If, in the physical structure, the SWE11 does not find a function unit of the same type
and with the same I-Bus address, it is identified in the localization structure with a ’*’
Action to be taken: alter the type/I-Bus address of the relevant function unit in the
physical structure
