Size of the message memory for events
● TIM 3V-IE DNP3: 64 000 events
● TIM 4R-IE DNP3: 200 000 events
Number of S7 connections via Ethernet
In addition to the DNP3 connections, the number of possible S7 connections via the Ethernet
interface is as follows:

Number in total: Max. 5,
of which:
– 2 configurable S7 connections
– 2 PG connections
– 1 OP connection
●
Number in total: Max. 3,
of which:
– 2 PG connections
– 1 OP connection
No S7 connections can be established via the serial interface.
Number of MODBUS slaves per station
The maximum number of MODBUS slaves that can be connected to the serial interface of a
TIM depends on the configured interface standard:
● RS-232: Maximum of 1 MODBUS slave
● RS-485: Maximum of 8 MODBUS slaves
CP 1243-8 IRC
Number of CMs/CPs per station
In each S7-1200 station, up to three CMs/CPs can be plugged in and configured, of which a
maximum of one CP 1243-8 IRC.
