Exchanging Interface Modules
The following Figure shows the processor printed circuit board CPU and arrangement of the modules.

The interface modules are located on the processor printed circuit boards CPU (No.1 in Figure 3-3 and
Figure 3-4).
Please note the following:
•
The interface modules can only be exchanged in devices designed for panel and cubicle mounting.
Devices in surface-mounted housings with two-tier terminals have to be retrofitted at our factory.
•
Use only interface modules that can be ordered in our facilities via the order key, see also Appendix
A Ordering Information and Accessories.
•
You may have to ensure the termination of the ports featuring bus capability according to the margin
heading "Termination".
