This chapter includes a checklist for maintenance work for the service engineer.
The maintenance instructions for the system manager is an integral part of the
operating instructions, document Nr. A6V10099835.
The chapter 10 "Detailed procedures" helps you to perform the following functions:

Checking the optical and acoustic elements
–
Enabling access level 2 for operation
–
Testing all alarm devices
–
Calibrating control lines 4 and 5
–
Working in system test mode
9.1 Testing the extinguishing system
Tasks to be carried out annually:
–
Check the automatic activation.
–
Check the manual activation.
–
Check the state "Released" by pressing the pressure switch-contact.
–
Check the function of the emergency hold or abort button.
–
Check the reporting of the mechanical blocking device.
–
Check the reporting of loss of extinguishing agent.
–
Check the batteries.
–
Check RT-alarm and RT-fault transmission.
Tasks to be carried out every 5 years:
–
Review all fire detectors.
–
Check the detector circuit for short circuit and open line.
9.2 Checking the operating units
Tasks to be carried out every 2 years:
–
Clean the control panel with mild soap. Do not use any aggressive solvent or
solvents containing abrasive materials.
–
Check the legibility and accuracy of the labeling strips.
–
Check the correct function of each key.
–
Check the access authorization.
9.3 Checking the extinguishing control unit
–
Check the mains earthing.
–
Visually check the batteries.
–
Visually check the fire relay.
–
Remove any dust.
