11.4.1 Overview of the default and application settings
The following table describes the default values for the different settings.
Each country can use these application settings. We recommend that you define
your settings from this chapter.
Default setting: for countries without additional national standards, e.g.
Portugal, Italy and various non-EU countries
Application setting Nr. 1: takes into account the additional Southwest European
standards, e.g. Spain
Application setting Nr. 2: takes into account the Northern European national
standards, e.g. Scandinavia and Sweden
Application setting Nr. 3: takes into account the Flemish national standards, e.g.
Belgium and Luxembourg
Application setting Nr. 4: takes into account non-EU countries with their own
national standards, e.g. Switzerland
Application setting Nr. 5: takes into account additional national standards, e.g.
Luxembourg and Netherlands
Application setting Nr. 6: takes into account additional Northern European national
standards, e.g. Denmark
