7 PICOSCALE CONTROL GUI
Single Either: The trigger source output is HIGH when a rising or a falling edge is detected on
the selected input pin. Once the trigger source is in a logically high state, it stays high until
reset.
Positive Level, Negative Level: The level or the inverted level of the selected input pin is for-
warded to the trigger source output. In this case the state of the trigger source depends on
the level of the input pin.
The next eld Channel allows for selecting the desired input pin. The pin labels are in accordance
with the pin labels of the PICOSCALE Breakout-Box (BOB).
Trigger Event External Trigger
The Event External Trigger listens to the external trigger pin that is on the front panel of the PICO-
SCALE
Controller housing. The Condition menu allows to dene how the trigger source reacts on
the External trigger input pin. The following conditions are available:
Single Rising/Single Falling: The trigger source output is HIGH when a rising/falling edge is
detected on the input pin. Once the trigger source is in a logically high state, it stays high
until reset.
Single Either: The trigger source output is HIGH when a rising or a falling edge is detected on
the input pin. Once the trigger source is in a logically high state, it stays high until reset.
Positive Level, Negative Level: The level or the inverted level of the input pin is forwarded to
the trigger source output, respectively. In this case the state of the trigger source depends
on the level of the input pin.
All other elds are not used and have no meaning.
Trigger Event
Internal Event
The last Event, Internal Event, reacts to signals that are generated when internal events occur, for
example a Beam interrupt event. The Condition menu denes how the trigger source reacts on the
selected event signal. The following conditions are available:
Single Rising/Single Single Falling: The trigger source output is HIGH when a rising/falling is
detected on the input pin.
The next two elds, Event and Channel, allow for selecting the desired internal event and the cor-
responding channel. All other elds are not used and have no meaning.
