Rubber buffers are fitted on the front
handle (arrow) and rear handle
(arrow) to give the machine stability.
The rubber buffers on the front
handle must always be replaced in
pairs.
: Take out the screws (arrows) and
remove them with the washers.
– Remove the rubber buffers.
: Note the installation sequence.
– Reassemble parts in reverse
order.
– Tightening torques, b 3.6
– Prise out the rubber buffer (1)
with a suitable tool.
– Wet the new rubber buffer with
Press Fluid OH 723, b 14
: Slide the new rubber buffer as far
as possible into the T-guide
(arrow) underneath the handle.
Stop buffer
A stop buffer is installed between
the tank housing and crankcase to
limit vibrations at the manifolds.
A damaged or missing stop buffer
must be replaced or fitted.
– The rubber buffer (1) engages
the lug and edge of the housing
(arrows).
– Reassemble parts in reverse
order.

– Remove the handlebar support,

– Disconnect the water hose from
the shutoff valve.
: Take out the screws (arrows).
: Remove the support (1) with
rubber buffer.
– Remove the front handle from the
machine.
