– Remove shroud, b 7.4
– Remove the fan cover, b 7.5
– Remove the air filter, b 12.1
– Remove the air filter base,
b 12.1.1
: Unplug (arrow) the short circuit
wire (1).
: Unscrew the screw (arrow) and
remove the ground wire (2).
– Remove the wires from the cable
guides on the ignition side of the

crankcase and on the air guide
shroud.
The diagram shows the cable
guides on the dismantled tank
housing for clarity.
: Remove the short circuit wire
from the cable guides (arrows).

So that the short circuit wire (1) can
be guided better between cylinder
and tank housing, tie the old wire to
a piece of string about 75 cm long.

: Tie the short circuit and ground
wires to a length of string.
– Prise the wires out of the cable
guides.
: Use a suitable tool to deflect the
wire.

: Release the short circuit wire (1)
from the cable guide (arrow) and
pull it out with the string.
