4.2 ENGINE OPERATION
4.2.1 Check Diesel Engine
Park the machine at level road, check the oil
surface height. (Power off the engine, wait for
15 minutes to let the oil to return to the bottom
of the tank.)
The oil surface should be between the MIN and
MAX of the oil level gauge.
Please refer to the Cummins Diesel Engine
Operator’s Manual to get the operating and
maintaining details of the engine.
4.2.2 Before Starting Engine
 Switch off the pilot controlled valve and
keep the pilot lever, traveling rod in
natural state (Neutral position). Operator
sits down on the seat.
 Turn the key to ON position (Operating), all the monitor system indicators are on light
 except working hour meter, LCD block and the buzzer would moo. The monitor system
would be on normal working state after self-checking for 2 seconds.
4.2.3 Starting Engine
1. Switch off the pilot controlled valve.
2. Turn the key to ON position.
3. Bugle to warn persons around.
4. Turn the key right to START position to start the engine. Release the key, the switch would
return to ON position.
