SWDE120A DOWN-THE-HOLE DRILLING RIG OPERATOR’S MANUAL BOOK
7.10 Protecting Measures for Long Term Storage
Please take protecting measures as following if the machine should be stored over one month.
Protecting Measures for Long Term Storage
Wash the machine body and repair it completely
Fill lubrication oil and grease
Check the lubrication oil if it is not enough or dirty. Fill grease
into all the parts needing lubrication. Scumble oil onto the parts
easy to be rust.
Disassemble the battery. Keep it in storage after being charged
fully.
Fill in antirust. If it is possible to be frozen, fill in antifreeze or
empty cooling water fully and hang a brand read “NO WATER
IN RADIATOR” inside the cab.
Store the machine in dry carbarn and cover the machine with
hood.
Store after checking and repairing.
Lubrication operating – Run
machine at low speed for
several minutes
Parts would be rusty and result in abnormal abrasion in next
operating if the oil film on them is damaged. To avoid this
problem, run the machine at least one time per month to lubricate
the parts. At the same time, check liquid level of cooling water
and lubrication oil.
Attention
1. For “Lubrication operating”, it means to warm up the machine by running motor, lifting,
rotating etc. twice or 3 times.
2. Lubrication oil and grease may become bad although the machine is not operated. Thus, do
complete check before operating.
