6. DRILLING
Attention should be paid while positioning drilling, pull the control handle lightly to move
all the cylinders slowly, observe the parts moving to prevent machine damage and oil pipe
broken from parts intervening, especially for preventing personal injury from broken glasses
caused by the cab hit by drill frame.
6.1 DRILLING OPERATION
(1)Start engine of air-pressure machine and pump group.
(2)Open pilot oil source switch.
(3)For new drilling site, level the drilling frame after finishing assembling of the machine. Lift
up the drilling frame by pilot valve controlled lever slowly and stably. If only change drilling
position at original operating site, go to next step directly.
(4)Move the machine to operating site. By controlling pilot valve controlled lever and solenoid
valve, operate the stabilizer cylinder to level the machine.
(5)By controlling pilot valve controlled lever, operate the compensation cylinder to extend the
drilling frame to hold on the operating ground.
(6)By controlling pilot valve controlled lever, operate motor to fall the drilling tool slowly.
Stop it once the drilling head touches ground.
(7)Turn the “Drilling” switch to “Open” position and start impartor.
(8)Add pressure to motor by controlling pilot valve controlled lever.
(9)When the depth of the impactor into rock is ≥100 mm, push the pilot valve controlled lever
to positive turn position to operate the rotating motor to positive turn.
(10)Push the pilot valve controlled lever to “Drilling” position, the machine would be on work
of drilling.
6.2 DRILLING PRECAUTIONS
(1)Use the pressure adjusting knob on the control panel to adjust the shaft pressure ranging
1~5MPa according to the condition of rock. (It is unnecessary to adjust the shaft pressure on
common condition.)
(2)Observe the rotating pressure meter momentarily (Indicating rotating motor). Please pay
attention that the pressure should be under 16MPa when in positive turn, and under 18MPa when
in reverse turn. Stop machine to find reason when the pressure is over 17MPa and kelly bar is
raised up.
