INTRODUCTION
Thank you for purchasing the TOPCON TRC-NW8F, TRC-NW8F plus NON-MYDRIATIC RETINAL
CAMERA.
This instrument is used to observe and photograph the fundus of the eye.
There are two versions of this device; the TRC-NW8F is not equipped with Fundus Autofluorescence photogra-
phy (FAF photography) while the TRC-NW8F plus

is equipped with FAF photography functionality.
This instrument has the following features:
• The TRC-NW8F and TRC-NW8F plus perform fluorescein photography (FA photography) simply by changing
the photography mode.
• With the TRC-NW8F plus Fundus Autofluorescence observation can be performed on the built-in color LCD
monitor.
• Photographs can be taken through pupils
4.0mm or larger. (3.3mm or larger if small pupil diaphragm is on)
• Auto focus function
• Red-free photography with red-free filter

This manual outlines the TRC-NW8F/TRC-NW8F plus NON-MYDRIATIC RETINAL CAMERA, including oper-
ating procedures, troubleshooting, maintenance and cleaning.
Before using the instrument, carefully read the "DISPLAY FOR SAFE USE" and the "SAFETY CAUTIONS" to
familiarize yourself with the features of the TRC-NW8F NON-MYDRIATIC RETINAL CAMERA and use it effi-
ciently and safely.
Always keep this Instruction Manual at hand.
PRECAUTIONS
Patients undergoing examination with this instrument must be able to follow instructions including:
- Being able to position their face appropriately in the chinrest and forehead rest.
- Keep the eye open as instructed by the examiner.
